I frustrated the hell out of Mal at Lewisham Council and really, really irritated him with countless pig-headed arguments on our train home to Faversham. Yet through it all, Mal was always so kind, generous and understanding. Recently, typical of Mal, he showed me a tremendous kindness. Such a genuine and loving person. God Bless, Mal.
